Genre selection

Scriptwriting gives a lot. It has genres everywhere – like in an expansive ice cream shop where you can get just any flavor that can predicatively create the mood for the whole story. Show passion for a specific genre. It could be enthusiasm for action’s adrenaline rush; it could manifest itself through various other forms such as suspenseful chills or the warmth felt through reading romantic novels.

Knowing these characteristics will help you make sure your work is distinguishable, even if not unique enough as well as being easier to read or follow depending on what feedback gets provided by society about different works’ features because theirs too have limits set along these lines sometimes depending on how much someone’s creativity stretches between genres).

And finally yes embrace what is conventional but new variations could improve upon them too! Maybe sci-fi can twist with humor or romanticism could be added into a comedy mystery. Therefore, as an aspiring screenwriter you do not have to be confined by the boundaries that have been established over time in filmmaking.
